WelcomeWelcome to LLWG

‘Lattes Laced with Grace‘ is a 30-something’s reflections about laced with grace living, faith, family and how to inspire & captivate creativity in everyday life. My name is Sarah Wilson and I am the author of ‘Lattes Laced with Grace’. My original blog name was ‘Cappuccino & Chaos’ however I never really had a peace about the term ‘chaos’, even though ‘chaos’ does sum up my life with small children rather well! I’ve always loved words, and I’ve found that words can be powerful, bringing with them the invocation of a curse or a blessing. And the biggest revelation I’ve had in my walk with God is that of God’s grace. It truly is amazing.  When life is challenging, I can remind myself that His grace is sufficient for me. And so I’ve changed the name to ‘Lattes Laced with Grace’.

I’ve been married to my lovely and very patient husband for almost ten years. In a previous life B.C (before children) I trained and worked as a psychologist. Since having children I have undertaken christian counselling training too and I have worked a few hours here and there teaching at the local university. Since my second child I have been at home full time as a Director of Domestic Affairs. As the proud mother of three beautiful young kiddywinks. I spend my days running around after them, making the most of precious lovely moments, tackling the Mt Everest washing pile and attempting to keep the house orderly. Let’s not pretend that if you came round for coffee that it wouldn’t be amoungst piles of laundry and lego! But we could still have coffee.

Besides my calling at home, when I’m not drowning in laundry, I lead the prayer ministry at our church, and I love to write, design and create. Launched in December 2013, ‘Lattes Laced with Grace’ endeavours to bring hope and encouragement to women. I want to write with honesty about the real struggles that we all face, which are sometimes beautiful, and sometimes brutiful. Whether it be in the area of faith, singleness, marriage, parenting, or emotional health. Because real life is messy. And from brokeness comes beauty. I hope that this blog is a blessing and an encouragement to all who visit – whether you are single, married or a mother, in the trenches with little kids, scraping weetbix off the walls (notoriously challenging to remove as it sets like concrete). I hope you will be encouraged by an honest and hopefully humorous reflection on the up’s and down’s of life, from someone who doesn’t have it all together, but has learned to depend on God’s abundant grace.

Recently I’ve also launched two small hobby businesses called Gracious Design and The Blogista Boutique. Please see the Shoppe Page for birthday party invitations, canvas collages and more, and my blog design and management services.

I’m also thankful to be a monthly writing contributor to NZ Christian Mum and a writer and editor at ‘The Forevers Years’, a blog started in July this year with a friend. The Forever Years is about encouraging the heart of parents and caregivers, and promoting child advocacy, and is the first child advocacy blog of it’s kind. I’m also honoured to be a member of the Redbud Writer’s Guild (www.redbudwritersguild.com).

Thank you for visiting. I hope that you stay awhile.
